シリーズ[境界のかけら]＋[14歳と世界と境]

『14歳と世界と境』
中学生の頃、学校区を分けている川の向こう側が異国のように遠く感じた。
年齢を重ねていくと世界は拡大していく。その川もすぐに境界線ではなくなった。
今回、愛知県内の中学生に特別授業を行い「自分の身の回りの境界」を探してもらった。授業内で書いてもらった文章で、地元新聞にて小さな連載を作っている。毎週水曜日の夕刊の隅っこに、いろいろなニュースと並んで小さな世界と境の話は掲載され続けている。
（ちなみに授業を行った中学校は、かつて”尾張”と”三河”を分けていた「境川」の両岸に位置していて、新聞連載の記事には、川をイメージした線を境に、毎回両岸の２人の中学生の言葉を選んで掲載している。）

“ Fourteen years old & the world & borders ”
When I was in junior high school the other side of the river that separated school districts felt like a whole different world.
As I get older, my world expands and that river soon represented a border no longer.
This time we held special lessons with junior high school students in Aichi prefecture and asked them to look for the boundaries in their life. The writings they have done in class are forming a series in the local newspaper. In one corner of the Wednesday evening paper each week, along with a variety of other news, the series about small worlds and borders is laid out.
(Please note that the students participating in the lessons are located on both sides of the Sakai river (sakai means border in Japanese) which used to separate the old nations of Owari and Mikawa. The series of articles in the newspaper selects the words of two students from each side of the river with the river an imagined border line between them).

『境界のかけら』
僕自身が色々な旅の中で密かに集めてきた境界線。
国境も含め誰かによって引かれてしまっている線たち。
大きな物語のかけらたち。

Border lines I have quietly collected on my own travels.
Lines that have been drawn by somebody even the national borders.
Fragments of a bigger story.
