“I came to Kurobe City Art Museum for the research of exhibition. This museum have been built near the sea. I walked around the beach, and I met one landscape of stone in a small fishing village. The landscape is people living with stones from the beach.
People live in this area since ancient times and many stone tools are excavated from pit style dwellings. In the exhibition, I exhibited photographs of the landscape of those stones and the actual stone tools that was excavated by an archaeologist, and I made a photo book with these photographs, and wrapped a stone inside the book. The selected stone doesn’t have any meaning. However, when people open this book, pick out the stone, they will find its new meaning in daily life.” – Shitamichi Motoyuki

富山県の黒部市美術館は海の近くにある美術館で展示をする事になった。
近くの浜辺に歩いて行くと、生地という小さな漁村で石ころの風景に出会った。
この地域では古代から人々が住んでいて、竪穴式住居跡からは多くの礫石器（石ころのまま使用された石器）が出土する。
展覧会では、それらの石の風景の写真と近所の博物館から借りた実際の礫石器を並べて展示。
さらに撮影した写真で写真集を作り、生地の浜辺の石ころを付録として挟み込んだ。（石ころを本で包んだ）
石のサイズは「大」「中」「小」「なし」から選べる。美術館のカタログとして販売。（完売）
付録の石は意味がない。でも、写真集を購入した人が生活の中で石を開封し新しい意味を見つけるかもしれない。生地の集落の人々のように。
